Reiki I and II, the first and second levels of Reiki training,  prepare you to work as a Reiki Practitioner. Reiki can be learned and used by anyone, regardless of experience or spiritual belief. Once learned, Reiki can be used to facilitate healing for yourself and for others.

Reiki complements all other healing modalities, both conventional and alternative.

Reiki I and II may be taught as individual workshops or combined into a Reiki I/II Intensive Weekend Workshop.

The textbook for Reiki I and II is Reiki The Healing Touch First & Second Degree Manual by William Lee Rand. The textbook is included in the Reiki I tuition and available at a discounted price to Reiki II students who do not have a book..

The Reiki I Workshop

Prerequisite: None

This introductory workshop includes the Reiki I attunement and covers the following topics:

  • Introduction to Reiki
  • The history of Reiki including a discussion of Japanese Reiki
  • The Reiki hand positions
  • Giving a complete Reiki treatment for self and others
  • An introduction to Animal Reiki as taught by Kathleen Prasad
  • Japanese Reiki Techniques, as taught by Dr. Usui:
    Gassho meditation
    Byosen Scanning - detecting where Reiki is needed
    Reiji-ho - developing your intuition (more advanced than hand positions)
    Kenyoku - dry bathing or cleansing ones energy field before or after a treatment
  • A discussion of the Hayashi Healing Guide

The class is a combination of lecture, discussion, and experience. Practice time is included for all the topics listed above, however it is expected that you will practice after the class using your notes and class manual to complete your mastery of the material presented. This additional practice is necessary to gain experience and the confidence you need to fully utilize the Reiki training.

Tuition: $150 * with a non-refundable $75 deposit. Tuition includes the textbook Reiki The Healing Touch First & Second Degree Manual  by William Lee Rand and additional notes and handouts as needed. You will receive a Reiki I certificate upon completion of this class.

Reiki I for Animal Lovers is a special offering of Reiki I for those specifically interested in Animal. Animal Reiki by Elizabeth Fulton and Kathleen Prasad is available for purchase at the workshop for $15.

The Reiki II Workshop

Prerequisite: Reiki I from a qualified Reiki Master

Reiki II is a continuation of Reiki I. It enhances your Reiki energy and healing skills and prepares you to practice as a Reiki II Practitioner.

The Reiki II workshop includes the Reiki II attunement and covers the following topics.

  • The Reiki II symbols, how to use them with practice time.
  • Japanese Reiki Techniques, as taught by Dr. Usui including:
    Gassho meditation
    Koki ho - using the breath to send Reiki
    Jacki-kiri Joka-ho - clearing objects of negative energy
    Gyoshi ho - sending Reiki with the eyes
    Enkaku chiryo - sending distant healing
  • Animal Reiki using symbols

The class is a combination of lecture, discussion, and experience. Practice time is included for all the topics listed above, however it is expected that you will practice after the class using your notes and class manual to complete your mastery of the material presented. This additional practice is necessary to gain experience and the confidence you need to fully utilize the Reiki training.

Please indicate that you need a book when you register to assure that a book is available.]

The Reiki I/II Intensive Weekend Workshop

Prerequisite: None

Reiki I and II are often taught together in an intensive two day workshop. Reiki I and II attunements are given and all techniques from Reiki I and II are covered including the Japanese Reiki Techniques, as taught by Dr. Usui.

Tuition: $300 with a non-refundable $100 deposit. Tuition includes the textbook Reiki The Healing Touch First and Second Degree Manual by William Lee Rand and additional notes and handouts as needed. You will receive a certificate suitable for framing upon completion of this class.
