Reiki Chattanooga Schedule

Reiki I for Animal Lovers
Saturday March 6, 2010 9 AM to 5:30 PM

The first level of Usui Reiki is taught with special emphasis on offering Reiki to animals. You will learn to use Reiki on yourself, the animals in your life and your friends and family. The only prerequisite for this workshop is a love of animals a desire to learn Reiki.

Prerequisite: A love for animals and a desire to learn Reiki.
Tuition: $165 includes Reiki I/II Manual, Animal Reiki book,  other materials as needed and Reiki I Certification.
Location: North Chattanooga - details are given when you register.
Registration: Pre-registration and a $75 deposit are required at least one week before the beginning of class. Registration will close once the maximum class size is reached, so register early to assure your place in the class.

Please download the Reiki I Registration Form to print and mail with your check to hold your space if you are taking Reiki I only this time.

You may also take this workshop as the first day of any Reiki I/II Workshop. Reiki I is from 9 AM to 5:30 PM. Tuition of $150 does not include the Animal Reiki book, but you may purchase it for an additional $15. Contact Margaret if you want to do this.

Usui Reiki I/II Workshop – First two levels of Usui Reiki
Saturday and Sunday March 6-7, 2010 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM  each day.

Note that you may take both Reiki I and Reiki II as a two day workshop or you may take Reiki I on Saturday. If you have completed Reiki II with a qualified Reiki Master Teacher, you may take Reiki II without taking Reiki I at this time.

The first two levels of Usui Reiki are taught together in an intensive weekend workshop. You will receive the three Usui Reiki II symbols and attunements for levels I and II. You will learn the history and philosophy of Reiki and will learn and practice hand positions for healing yourself and others. This workshop trains you to be a Reiki II Practitioner, but many students take the workshop for their own personal and spiritual growth.  Although practice is provided during the workshop, additional practice is required after the workshop to develop the experience needed to work as a Reiki Practitioner. If you prefer to take only Reiki I or if you have already taken Reiki I and want to take only Reiki II you may do that. Please contact Margaret to make arrangements to do this.

It is important to register for the workshop as early as possible to assure your place in the class. Workshops are subject to cancellation if the minimum is not met a week before the workshop and registration is closed once the maximum class size is reached.

Prerequisite: A desire to learn Reiki.

Tuition: $300 includes Reiki I and II workshop, one textbook, certificate and other materials.
    Reiki I  (Saturday only): $150 includes one book and Reiki I certificate,
                                             $165 includes both books and Reiki I certificate.
    Reiki II (Sunday only): $175 includes Reiki II certificate. No books are included but they are
                                                    available for $15 each if you don't have them from Reiki I.

Advanced Reiki Training (ART)
March 27, 2010 10 am - 6 pm.

This one-day intensive is for those who have previously taken Reiki I and II and had at least six months experience with Reiki after completing Reiki II. You need a good working knowledge of Reiki and familiarity with the Reiki II symbols.

ART includes attunement to the Usui Master Symbol and several powerful techniques using this symbol including an aura clearing technique sometimes called "Reiki Psychic Surgery."  ART is prerequisite to Reiki III/Master Training and is appropriate for all Reiki Practitioners who want to increase their healing skills whether they plan to take the masters training or not. Tuition: $200 with a $100 non-refundable deposit to hold your space.

Reiki Review, Refresher and Reiki Share
Saturday April 10, 10 AM to 5: PM

All Reiki Practioners Level II and above are invited to a day of Reiki sharing.  It is a chance to reconnect and meet students from other workshops. I will present some new perspectives on Reiki from the Japanese perspective. Did you now that the symbols have no names and what we call the "sacred names" are in fact mantras that predate the symbols? Do you know that the attunements do not attune you to Reiki or to the symbols or to anything else. Just as we cannot heal anyone with a Reiki Session but what we really do is create a sacred space in which healing can occur, Reiki masters create a sacred space in which connection with spirit (or whatever you prefer to call it) can occur. I have been studying the Japanese Reiki materials and gradually changing how I present things in my workshops, so some of this is not new if you were in my most recent workshops but most if not all of it is new to those who took Reiki workshops with me some time ago.

I also plan to discuss some ideas I have for future events and get your feedback on them.

If this event is successful, I plan to offer it on a regular basis.

As with all events, the minimum is 2 but for this event the maximum can be more than 6 if needed.

Prerequisite: Level II Reiki or above.
Tuition: $50 fee covers the event and relevant handouts but no book or certificate..

Reiki for Animal Lovers (Animal Reiki)
This workshop has been replaced by Reiki I for Animal Lovers

This special five hour class is offered for people who wish to learn Reiki so they may work with animals. The class will include an introduction to Reiki, a level one attunement, instructions for using Reiki on yourself and a discussion of how Reiki may be used for animals. This workshop does not include practice using Reiki with animals, but you will learn how to offer Reiki to the animals in your life and you can get plenty of practice after class. You will receive a certificate of completion for this class rather than a Reiki I certificate because this class does not include the training required to continue with Reiki II.

Prerequisite: A desire to learn Reiki so you can use it with animals.
Tuition: $75 - includes class, Animal Reiki book, certificate and other material as needed. Partial scholarships are available for animal shelter staff and volunteers - contact Margaret for details.

Registration: Pre-registration and payment are required. Class size is limited - first come first served - so register early to assure a place in the class.

Reiki Master Training (Reiki III)
To be scheduled in 2010

Expand your healing skills and learn to attune others to the Reiki energy. As a Reiki Master you will be qualified to teach Reiki to others. Many take this class for the increase in their healing ability and for their own personal and spiritual growth. Reiki III/Master Training includes the complete Reiki III Usui/Tibetan Master attunement and two Tibetan symbols for a total of six symbols and attunements for all levels of Reiki. Tuition: $600 with a non-refundable $200 deposit to hold your space

ART and Master Training can taken  together as a three day workshop or you may take ART only if you prefer. These workshops will be scheduled every six months or as needed.

No introductory evenings are scheduled at this time.

The Reiki Shares in March and May were a wonderful experience for all who attended. I will schedule another Share soon. Due to space limitations, the Reiki Share is limited to my  recent Reiki II and Masters students as a continuation of their Reiki training. Komyo Reiki Workshop: Shoden (First Degree)\

Komyo Workshops are not scheduled at this time. If you are interested in studying Komyo Reiki, please let Margaret know.

Shoden is the first level of Komyo Reiki. The purpose of Shoden is self healing of mind and body. Shoden includes four attunements and instruction in using Reiki for your own healing and spiritual growth. Komyo is  usually scheduled as 4 classes a week apart, for example every Monday evening for four weeks. Click here for more information.

Tuition: $100 includes the Shoden manual, other handouts as appropriate and a certificate.

FIRST SUNDAY OF EVERY MONTH - Free Reiki Teleconference 8-9 PM.

Not currently available

Margaret Dexter, Reiki Master Teacher will offer a free Reiki teleconference for Reiki practitioners and others interested in Reiki. All are welcome.

Call 1-712-432-0075 just before 8 PM and follow the voice prompts to enter your conference access code 897655# - don't forget the pound sign! You will be placed into the conference and will be live on the call. Please announce yourself.

Margaret will talk about the topic of the evening and then allow times for questions and sharing. Please join us - everyone is welcome. This is a time for everyone to discuss Reiki - both those who have taken Reiki workshops and those who have not but are interested to know more. Your only cost is long distance charge for the call.
