Reiki Workshops Offered by
Reiki Chattanooga
Reiki Chattanooga offers Reiki Workshops in north Chattanooga. Classes are small and are a
combination of lecture, discussion, meditation and practice.
Usui Reiki that is taught in three levels or degrees: Reiki I, Reiki II and Reiki III. Reiki III
is also called Reiki Master. It also includes an Advanced Reiki Training
(ART) which is
taken between Reiki II and Reiki III/Master.
The Reiki I and II workshops are Usui Reiki and
include many of the Japanese Reiki Techniques that are used in Japan. An
introduction to Animal Reiki as taught by Kathleen Prasad is also covered in
the Reiki I and II workshops. The advanced
classes ART and Reiki III are considered Usui/Tibetan Reiki because they include extensions of
Reiki developed and taught by William Rand of the International Center for
Reiki Training. A clear distinction is made between Reiki as it was
developed by Usui Sensei and these powerful Reiki extensions. Reiki is not
Tibetan, it was developed in Japan. We use the description Usui/Tibetan
Reiki to indicate that the additional Tibetan symbols are taught in the
advanced classes.
All workshops include attunement to the Reiki energy.
A Reiki attunement is an initiation into a sacred metaphysical order
that has been present on earth for thousands of years. By receiving an
attunement you will become part of a group of people who are using Reiki to
heal themselves, and each other, and who are working together to heal the
Earth. By becoming part of this group, you will also be receiving help from
the Reiki guides and other spiritual beings who are also working toward
these goals.
Reiki for Animal Lovers
is a workshop for people who want to be attuned to Reiki so they can treat
their cats, dogs, horses and other animals. There are no prerequisites other
than a desire to use Reiki with animals. This workshop includes a Reiki I
level attunement to the Reiki energy and instructions for using Reiki for
self healing and with animals. Students are also taught to do a full Reiki
treatment to themselves. The book Animal Reiki by Elizabeth Fulton
and Kathleen Prasad is the text for this class. Please note that practice is
not included in this class - you will need to practice on your own to
develop skill in using Reiki.
The Reiki I Workshop
is a one day workshop which may include an introductory session on the
evening before the workshop. There are no prerequisites other than a
desire to learn Reiki. The Reiki I attunement is given
and the students are taught to give a full Reiki treatment to themselves or
others. A Reiki I works primarily on the physical body. The Reiki workbook
Reiki the
Healing Touch by William Rand of the
International Center for Reiki Training is used as
the text for Reiki I and II. Reiki I also includes
an introduction to Animal Reiki based on the book Animal Reiki by
Elizabeth Fulton and Kathleen Prasad. Animal Reiki is available for
purchase for an additional $15 if desired.
The Reiki I for Animal Lovers Workshop is a special
offering of the Reiki I Workshop with emphasis on Animal Reiki.
The Reiki II Workshop
is a one day workshop which may include an introductory session on the
evening before the workshop. Reiki I with a qualified Reiki Master is
prerequisite to Reiki II. The Reiki II attunement is given. Three Usui Reiki
symbols and many techniques are covered. Students are taught to use the
symbols to transform the treatment they learned in Reiki I to a Reiki II
treatment and to send distant healing. The use of symbols in Animal Reiki is
also discussed. A Reiki II treatment works on the
mental and emotional level a well as on the physical level. Reiki the
Healing Touch by William Rand,
that students should have from Reiki I, is the text. The Reiki
II Workshop continues the
training that began in Reiki I and prepares the student to become a Reiki Practitioner.
The Reiki I/II Workshop is an intensive
two day weekend workshop that covers all
topics from Reiki I and Reiki II. There may be an
introductory session the evening before the workshop. There are no prerequisites other than a desire to learn Reiki. All attunements for
levels I and II are given. Three Usui Reiki symbols and many techniques are covered.
Reiki the
Healing Touch by William Rand
is is the text. The Reiki I/II
Workshop prepares the student to become a Reiki Practitioner.
Students are advised to take Reiki I and II as a combined workshop.
Advanced Reiki Training (ART) is a one-day
class. Reiki II
with a qualified Reiki Master is prerequisite to ART. ART is designed to
increase the Reiki energy and to expand the
healing skills taught in Reiki I and II. This
workshop includes the Usui master symbol and attunement
to this symbol, Reiki meditation, crystal grids and Reiki Psychic Surgery. Although there
is no required waiting period, Margaret suggests that students wait
at least six months between
Reiki II and ART to allow time to integrate the energy and to gain
experience as a Reiki Practitioner.
The Reiki III/Master Workshop is a two-day
intensive. Advanced Reiki Training (ART)
and permission of the instructor are prerequisite
to Reiki III/Master Training. Reiki III includes: the complete Reiki III
Usui/Tibetan Master Attunement, two Tibetan symbols for a
total of six symbols, the Reiki Healing Attunement, the attunement process for all levels
of Reiki including Master and the advanced Reiki meditation. After the Reiki III/Master
class, students are able to teach Reiki to others. Many take this class for their
own spiritual development without planning to teach Reiki. ART and Reiki III are often
taught together as a three-day workshop.
Komyo Reiki is
Reiki that it taught more as Reiki is taught in Japan. We are not currently
offering Komyo Reiki workshops. Please contact Margaret if you are interested in learning Komyo
Reiki.
